About this listing

This attractive WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) tray dates from the height of the German Jugendstil movement that defined Art Nouveau design in the early 20th century. It is a highly collectible early 20th-century piece, produced in Germany circa 1900–1910, featuring openwork handles, and repoussé detailing (apparently Secessionist motifs). Has the WMF Ostrich in a lozenge mark. Length approx 41cm, width approx 22.5cm, height approx 2cm. Can easily be polished to a shine if that's your preference. The marks on it are where the pewter teaset (also listed) sat on it for many years. A few dings and scrapes from use over up to 100 years of use.
