About this listing

A lovely hammered pewter tea & coffee set in classic arts & crafts style with black bakelite handles and knobs. The set comprises a teapot, coffee pot or hot water jug, sugar bowl and creamer or milk jug. In great, used, condition albeit a bit dusty. Marked to the base with Craftsman Pewter - a prominent trademark used by the Sheffield-based manufacturer Viner's Ltd. between 1926 and 1939 and valued primarily for its collectible and decorative appeal. It represents the historic, industrial-era shift where Sheffield became the world-renowned center for handcrafted, spun metalware rather than relying on traditional casting.
