A fab early Edwardian Royal Crown Derby lidded jar - i would call it a temple jar but could be a ginger jar, The jar itself is in great condition and would be perfectly fine as a vase on it's own. The lid has a sliver off the lion's tail (could be painted over to be less obvious) and there is a chip on the inside of the lid which can't be seen when in place - reserve reflects this. Stands approx 21.5 cm high and approx 10cm across the widest point. The vase is clearly marked with the date cipher for 1908 but the lid looks more like 1906 so this may be a marriage but they are definitely both patter 6299 - Witches Pattern.
